OVER / AT #1

For the first iteration of this new night, the programme featured voices (speaking, singing, silent) from our communities. Works included Cage's 4'33" reimagined as an intersectional protest by artists Pauline Boudry & Renate Lorenz, a new interpretation of Irish composer Robbie Blake's a signalling, and Sarah Hennies' Contralto, straddling music and documentary, exploring transfeminine identity through the voice.

This work was supported by the RCS Equality and Diversity Fund, and the RCS Students' Union.

The concert was shortlisted for a Scottish Award for New Music, 2021.
